12x12 scrap album, hand made

This is also another manly album i have completed, instead of flowers this time, i dug out my sizzix vine die, and cut the leaves and vines out of chipboard, then covered the leaves in the scraps of paper from the cover, sort of like a Serendipity square, and again decopaged them for more stability, the title was also done the same way, and then stamped family onto the serendipity squares, there are rub-ons and plenty of distress stamping done on the sifde and spine of the book. Also added some bead work, a few mulberry flowers, and a name plate in the corner, I really like doing the serendipity squares as it is a great way to use the paper scraps... Added a touch of gold metallic creames, and gold embossing, and were done. I love making covers, you can personalize them to match any person or project your doing, and they are much nicer, and cheaper than those high end plain albums....Give it a try...Its fun!

12x12 handmade scrap book......

Hey everyone, this is an album i re-did for my youngest Son...This album is for all those special moments in life, from birth to graduation....I used a lot of pattern papers, some hand made papers, mulberry papers, lots of metal embellishments, rub-on's stamping, and the chipboard letters that spell his name are also made from scratch....I am sort of happy with the results, but disappointed as well, a manly book is much harder to do, cause we can't, or at least I don't use flowers and such..So it always looks un-finished to me. I still have a bit of work to do on this yet. Will post when finished....

Clip Board Mania....

In case you don't know what these are, there are the basic cheap-O clip boards for a buck....I love them, just add photos and you have yourself a new style of picture frame, or even a useable board for notes or whatever you like. Theres no limit to the possibilities of these lil cuties...
Since I am a cowgirl, and am 100% country, I could not resist doing them in the western theme, either style is awesome, and i mostly used recycled objects..The Second one, is an actual jean pocket from a pair of my jeans, and binder twine off one of my hay bales. The little tags in the pockets can be used for smaller pics or for journaling. The larger frame is also for a photo of your favorite cow-poke. The first board, also has recycled bottle caps, the letters are recycled cereal boxes covered in pattern paper, then decopaged for strength. The mesh is from the home repair center called dry wall tape, and works like magic mesh, only better and cheaper cause you can ink it, or spray it with any color wash allowing you to custom it for any project, and it is self adhesive. It's great stuff!!!
This board is done up for your favorite lil puppy dog, Nothing recycled on this, just plenty of cuteness..The possibilities are endless...So have a go at it...

Tuesday tasks...

Rookie after a mud puddle bath, about 2 1/2 months old

Ryder after his mud puddle bath, about 2 months old

I am so excited, my new baby is such a cutie, he is a full brother to our 2 year old stud, Rookie. Rookie has the heart of gold, and is so very sensitive and laid back, he is so sweet and cuddly, and at 100 lbs he thinks he is a lap dog....
Then we got Ryder, who is on these pics 2 to 2 1/2 months old, a completely different personality, a whole different yellow color, and a spit fire to say the least, but yet a heart of gold. I love my boys and can not resist their faces.

Hugs, Inky

Handmade Scrap covers... Sundays project

So give the scrap covers a try, they are fun to do and very addictive.

SCrrapbook cover, handmade

I love to make, scrapbook covers to match the themes of the projects. Or just because it is so hard to find a really nice album that does not cost a fortune, so I make my own from scratch in all sizes. This book is a 8x8, and was done for a friend.
You can add so many personal items to a handmade album, and truly make it personal for that special someone in your life.
I love to use embellies that give a lot of texture and dimension. microscope slides, slide mounts, large flowers, flourishes, rub ons, and anything else your lil heart desires.
Oh, and don't forget to add some stamping and distressing...lol
Remember to have fun with it and there are no rules!!

Lunch pails, altering the weather

I have used a lot of different products on the pail. I believe to much is never enough. Just have fun with it, and any theme is possible.

ALtered Lunch Pails

I am so very ready for SUmmer to get here, I am hoping this project will help get us in the Summer Time fun, cause we not yet had days any warmer the 50 degrees, and that was just 1 day.
Today, Gale force winds, and freeze advisory tonight. But with this sitting on my desk, I can feel the warmth, and the Sun on my face. LOL...ok well in my mind I can do anything

ALtered Letters, ALtered Arts...

This letter "P" I have made for a Neice for her Conformation, and one just like this for a swap on a different forum.
I love to make these altered letters, and when I can incorporate them with my Love for the altered arts and mixed media, its the best of both worlds....

These were my early morning creations. I love to get up early before everyone else, sit with my 3 Labs, coffee, and just pick through things, gaining inspiration from the solitude.

ALtered Arts Projects..

SO how many of you out there love altered arts?? I DO. Boy Is that a passion of mine. I love that there are no rules, and everything matches and works. SO here a few items i had been working on for a customer of mine, and to post on ebay. All you altered arts gals, if your like me, love the Davinci pears, doll torsos, wings, and crowns, exoyic and unusual fibers, well anything different, so i came up with these items. I hope you like them, they were fun to make! SO soon as i get my projects done using these items, I will post pics.
If anyone wants to order these or any other things from me, just email me or visit my ebay store

flowers and more flowers..

Been working on a lot of new projects, one of them being flowers, as we all love them, want them, and gotta have them. SO tell me what you think. They are fairly easy to put together, and the color combos are unlimited. And who does not like flourishes of all shapes and sizes...

Some new projects
