ALtered Canvas

Good monday morning ladies, just 1 of the many projects I am working on. A grad pic I altered as a gift for my Sons Girl friend.
The canvas is 8x10. I painted it with several purples, and an aqua under coat, then distressed it a bit, and just started adding lots of flowers, crystals, lace. The die cuts from the Cricut and Silhouette were also painted and distressed to match the look of the layout. I am happy with the end results.

GSD Files

Hello crafty ones....well today one of my projects is a card for a baby shower.. Instead of pulling out my favorite stamps, inks, and embellies, I pulled out my inks, chalks, and found one of my favorite GSD files and went to work, or shall I say put my Silhouette to work cutting this card. Once its cut out, well then you see all that mesh and lattice work, all those 2 million holes need to be cleaned out..Then you can begin the fun of embellishing it the way you like.. I stayed with the soft baby colors and lightly chalked so as to give the card not only but dimension. I prefer all white card stock for these beautiful cards, and to add color either dramatically, or subtly, depending on the project. Being a baby boy card, I kept it soft....Using Memento, and Brilliance ink pads, Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Glacier, Dew drops, and stickles, I went to work on the card. Topping it off with wide organza ribbon as a closure. This will go into a box for presentation..Also able to embellish the matching box/envie...This beautiful design I purchased from Tina, who is amazing, she has more talent in her pinkie that I could ever hope to have. See does a much better job of embellishing her beautiful creations than I ever could. But I do try. WOuld you like to see more of her creations???? You can find her here at.... http://forevermemoriesforyou.co.uk/Shop/ (OR) find Tina's link in my side bar, and just click on it, it will whisk you away to her store front.
I just counted, and I have purchased 17 of her hundreds of files..I hope to some day have them all, or at least as close as I can get to that. I love working with Tina's files, they are very easy to use, and they cut beautifully. And did I tell you she has these compatable with the Wishblade, Craft Robo and SIlhouette machines. Check out her store, and prepare to be amazed and see some beautiful eye/blog candy.
Sorry it is really hard to photograph white cardstock...
It has been raining and gloomy all day here, so I decided to play the day away. Wait till you see what else I am working on....

Have a great weekend crafty ones.
I have been getting a lot of requests via email for certain things, as well as different techniques, and where I get my products from. You can leave those comments here on the blog, I will see them quicker, and will be able to respond sooner.

Also all my home town gals, it was great seeing all of again. I sent out 73 invites for the open house, and 48 of you came ready to scrap up the city. We had a blast, and I look forward to the next saturday, on June 12th, starts at 10:00 am. As always I will have what warms the soul, and satisfies the sweet tooth.lol, ya'll know what I mean.
Check back soon, as our Saturdays are going full force, and this is the only place you are going to find all the announcements and schedules...Keep dry and warm.
Hugs,
Ronnie

One more

One more from Kristi and Val....This was used as a card front for my Sister, from her hubby...all my brother in laws come see me when they need something..And usually in a hurry, so I always try and keep a stock pile for the men folk in my family..

Paper Piecings from Kristi and Val

Hello ladies, as promised, here is a pattern from Kristi and Val, Its made up for a customer to add as an element to her scrapping layout...
The best part of these patterns is, you DO NOT need a fancy machine, you can cut and print these from your home printer...
But, If you do have a Cricut, and SCAL program you can cut these little beauties on your Cricut, NO cartridge required!
If you do have a Silhouette, KNK, Craft Robo, Pazzles, Wishblade, or Boss kut, and Inkscape, you can convert, and cut them on your machine in all sizes...SO versatile so wonderful, so addicting!! Thanks Ladies

fREEBIE FRIDAY AT MYSCRAPCHICK

OMG, I absolutely love this site! I have purchased about 70% of these gals paper piece patterns, they are so cute, and the designs just keep getting better, the patterns are very easy to put together, and they fit perfectly! Some patterns out there the pieces do not match up, or there are so many pieces one looses interest before you get even half way through the project. But these gals have a handle on this and are very professional, and might I add talented, I love their store, and blog..I will see if I can post some pics of the projects I completed with their patterns. Who could resist these patterns?? Not me thats for sure...
Thanks Kristie and Val.

Oh and the best part is you do not need a Cricut, or Other computerized cutter!!
