My First Stamped card

Ok so here we go, you can laugh..I know it's not good....But none the less, it's my first stamped card, and a starting point. Which we all need...right... After it was all put together, I looked at it and thought, DUH!, it's almost like a scrap page, I should have pop dotted the image, or sentiment, more layering, and good grief wheres the ribbon and embellies??? So i am going to take this card and have a do-over! So this is the before pic...and will post an after pic when it's done. Boy you stampers, are amazing! This is tougher than an scrap page...

I have Spring fever

I am so so ready for Spring to come, and here in the Mid-west, WIsconsin actually, we do not see spring at least until May/June. Well thats how it has been the last few years anyway. Almost all of our snow is gone, and everything is dirty, muddy and icky looking. And over the weekend had 2" of rain. SO please Mother Nature, either snow, or put us in a early Spring. Due to my Spring Fever and longing to go some place tropical I created this altered lunch pail to keep my cold days warm, and me feeling oh so tropical.

I hope you all like it..It's still not a card of any sorts, but I could fill it with cards. I promise by weeksend I will have 1 stamped card, will conquer my fear, and just do it...I love cards, I love making cards, but do not have a clue how to do it, if it does not include cutting them either on my Cricut, or my SIlhouette. It's a fear of mine I have had for quite some time.SO new year, new goal...Fingers crossed...My dear sweet blogging sister re-assured me it was ok. But I can not stay in kiddie pool all my life. Right???Have a wonderful day to all my sisters, and friends.....

Easter Paper Piecings

Hello crafty ones.....Here is another paper piecing... This ones a bit different, It's a combination, of patterns from Myscrapchick, and Sizzix... The nice thing about doing paper piecing's, is they can made from anything. coloring book pages are a great sourcs to get patterns, and die, from sizzix, OK, spellbinders, or any other brands out there. And it is ok to mix and match them like I did here. The train, wagon, grass and eggs are Sizzix dies. The eggs were cut from glitter patterned card stock, and the rest cut from DCWV card stock. Then just layer them how want, and embellish. So if you have dies, there's no need to buy paper piece patterns. And again coloring books are a great place for patterns. So give them a try. And it will be no time at all before you are hooked on them...

A little chalk, ink, stickles, makers, or gel pens and you have the perfect combo for embellishing just about anything....Have a great day one and all...

The Great Outdoors Shape book

Here is a shape book I created for a swap over on cricut.com message boards...I love the word and shape books, cause there never seems to be an end to the possibilities. With this book I thought do something male themed, as I have 5 outdoorsmen in my life and ribbons and lace just does not do there photos justice....So here is what I came up with...

Not a very good photo, but I was trying to show all the layers of trees and tons of pop dots used to give the forest dimension.

Anyway, the cartridges used on this book are base camp for the pages and Camp out for everything else. I cut the mountains and trees into each page and then cut tons more of trees and mountains to give it a layered look, so eack page shape is either mountains or trees. And of course you don't have to do it this way, I did just because it was a challenge for me as I have never done one like it.

You can ahead and add a ton more of embellishments or even switch it up to make it your own, this one covers, hunting and camping. The most time was coloring and shading the trees and popping them out. ladies I hope you like the book I created just for you...

Christmas Money Envies

SO here are the money envelopes that I made this year for the kids, my nieces and nephews. The template is a gsd file that was cut out on my Silhouette. The Santa was cut from a Sizzix die, and then embellished. I love the ability to mix and match different die cutting systems, and see them come together. Although I love my Cricut and my Silhouette, I could never ever part with my Sizzix, Cuttlebug or Spellbinder dies. They all work so beautifully together, and I love the possibilities.. HAve a great day

The surprise is finally here

Good morning crafty ones.....As you have all been asking for a place to chat, share, learn, and explore the paper crafting world. It is finally here. Remember I have work to do on it yet, and there is always a starting point to everything. But none the less the forum is up and operational. At this time there are not many rules, and not much info, but with the help of everyone and each of your vast pools of knowledge this should be great in no time. This started out as a place for us local paper crafters to hook up, but I decided to keep it open to anyone who wants to be a part of it. Like always common sense and good judgement should always be in place when posting to the forum. So check it out, add your own personal touches and comments, and make this a great place to share, learn and meet others with our passions. SO here is the addie to the new home you all had asked for.
It is a bit bare at the moment, and I am busy trying to get it somewhat appealing... I am also going to need moderators, and in the near future swap people and gals to lead groups. SO for now, NO Profanity and no infringing on copyright laws of any kind. Share your knowledge with others and be a part of  a new group. And the best part is, advertising and promoting you and your business is welcome. As well as items for sale. SO take a peek and help make this forum a great place to be... And remember this is a brand new forum, and will only get better with the more that's put into it.
hugs, Ronnie

Cowgirl Up....

Hey ladies, I was in charge of making door prizes for our horse club and rodeo party. As I love my horses, and I LOVE the rodeo world, and competing in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. So I took an old pair of spurs attached them to a board and cut out the letters to make this sign.  Other than crafting, there is nothing better than saddling up and going riding. My favorite girl is Ms Kitty, a beautiful Dun Paint mare with a heart of gold, and the ability to make everyone fall in love with her, she is quite the character. Her favorite time of year is Christmas as the really big peppermint sticks are a favorite of hers. SO although this project does not qualify as a card, a layout, or anything like that, it still involves paper, ink and decopage, so ah maybe an altered project..

Have a great day ladies......

I love paper piecings

The top New Nany is a pattern from Myscrapchick. Look for links below
This is a 6x6 page element for a scrapbook layout, a large card, an altered canvas or anything else one might want to do with it. These are so much fun to make, and the possibilities are endless with just 1 pattern. I love to share my own pattern designs, so if you would like to see my designs let me know and I would be happy to share. This particular bear is from Lisa's precious piecings.. I also love myscrapchick, Val and Kristie are truly amazing, and there patterns are very user friendly, and you do not need a desktop cutter for their patterns..A huge plus. Another favorite friend of mine for elaborate cards is Ms Tina, she is the queen of the Craft robo, the United Kingdom, you can find her blog and her store in these links. Another very talented lady is Ms Sylvia, she designs amazing card fronts, they are like nothing you have ever seen before, her link is in my sidebar..Check out these amazing ladies to bring your paper crafting to whole new level. Of course I still love to do things with paper ink and stamps, sometimes this is just a nice diversion and it definately challenges people like me who get stuck in a comfort zone and don't venture out of it too much.. I said this year me new years challenge was to be a new technique every week for my card making, this is where i have choosen to start because the new stamps I ordered did not come in as of yet. Can you believe I do not own any stamps from the magnolia, flourishes, MFT, bellas or anything like that. I only have SU and zne/zetti theme based stamps. Not any more I can not wait for them to all get here.
Hugs for now, Ronnie
