Heritage/Vintage 12x12 layout

Hey Crafty ones, hope you are all ready for the Holiday season. I am NOT! lol....I always seem to be a last minute girl, even though every year I say not this time. And yet I am still that girl... SO anyway, I have finished a few more layouts on the Heritage album, and I am not at all happy with them, and feel they lack A LOT! I seem to have a diminished creative side and am at a loss so any suggestions would be helpful...Boy I can not wait to get back to stamping and give this a rest.geezsh. SO be honest and tell me what it needs or has to much of...They wanted the book done in all black/white, brown/tan, and a hint of pink. SO I think it's hard to make that good when they are all the same colors.

Heritage layouts

I am doing a book for my friend's parents. The kids are giving it as a Christmas present.  All the photos are black and white. So it is proving quite the challenge to put a touch of color on these pages.. After all it is a happy time in one's life...

These are  2 of the pages thus far

For Terry

Hi Terry, pics as promised....

These pics came out bad, and I am not sure why... Time for a new camera......

8x8 Scrapbook covers, albums

Here are a few more of the altered scrapbook albums...It is so much nicer to personalize them, rather than just a plain old front. All you need is (5) sheets os 12x12 paper, and (2) sheets of 81/2x11 paper. a glue stick, and whatever else you want to match the theme of the book. The font on the book if from Sizzix, and called Endless love. A few Prima flowers, brads, and lace. You can be as basic or fancy as you want to. I left this one rather empty looking, which is very hard for me to do....

This is a cute little book for that special baby/toddler in your life. The tear bears are a pattern from My ScapChick, and Lisa's Piecings. Spellbinders for dies, and a fiskars border punch, a few dimensional stickers and a cute little saying finishes off this book..

This one is basically the same thing, only I used my Cricut and my Silhouette for the die cuts and My SCrapChick for the tear bear. A bit of inking and chalking, and pop dots is all you need..

This book I used the Silhouette for the angel and branches, topped off with a few Prima flowers and it's all done. Well it could be done. These books are so easy to do, and are the perfect size. Espically for the beginner scrapbooker. They are 8x8 and not quite as intimidating as a full 12x12 page or album to do. I prefer glue sticks for these types of projects, as it stiffens up the covers and gives a nice base for adhering other items.. Have a craft happy day ladies...

Cascade Scrapbooking Album

Hey ladies, the word books, cascade albums, and flip books are very popular right now. They are fun and oh so easy to make. You can cut them using your cricut, your desktop cutters, and if you do not have either of them, you can hand cut them. The pattern I used for this book, came from a very talented gal RachelB over on UKSCRAPPERS. I used 2 of her border files to make this book...SO never fear you can still make these if you have a scissors.

SO the supplies needed is chipboard, (I used an old cereal box), a pattern, matching papers, embellishments, ribbons, stamps, adhesives, and any other items you like to use... I use glue sticks for this project, the reason being I like the stiffness it gave the ceral box, it stiffened it right up, just like a really thick piece of chip board.I cut the pieces all out of the cardstock of my choosing, glue them all down and then taking the X-acto knife trim up the edges. If you do not like the raw edges of the chipboard or in this case the cereal box, I used a matching ink to cover all exposed edges, and the edge of the papers giving it a distressed look. These 2 parts are the hardest and most time consuming, so hang in there....Once you have this step done, the fun part is next, embellishing the book. There are no rules, no limits and no restrictions. Be as creative as you like.. I like these books done up with tons of ribbons, lace, embellishments, and little doo-dads. Once you have 1 book completed stand back and admire your work..It was all worth it in the end. And they do become addictive. If you do not want to take the time to make these from scratch, you can purchase these from BoBunny, I like there books as they come in many colors, and you do not need to mess with cutting papers and inking edges.

Ok, so there you have it, a unique album, for a special someone in your life...My Neices love it when i make these books for them...Here is the latest album created

So on the next cold snowy day, empty a box of cereal, grab your papers and glue stick, and have a little fun with these funky little albums..If you would like a pattern to cut and trace just email me and I will send it you, or you can come pick it up...Just remember to save the original copy so you can re-use it any time you like.. Or make your own borders using any shape that you like. It's that easy to do...Have a great day ladies..
Hugs,
Ronnie

Anna, sweetest lil dolly

Here is an Altered Canvas I am working on....I am not at all happy with it, and feel it needs something...What do you all think?? Start over...is my thought on this....Such an adorable face deserves a beautiful background...

Altered canvases are a lot of fun to make...All you need is a canvas any size to fir picture...Craft paints or inks. Papers, embellishments, whatever you like. I used 6 different shades of purples and pinks and sort of dry brushed the canvas...A hint is cover with Gesso and let dry before painting... Gesso helps move the paint around and gives a truer brighter background...For info on Gesso or altering canvases contact me and I will set you up with plenty of tutorials.....Hugs,
Ronnie
As most of you know already, I am in the process of trying to get a place opened up where we can all get together and do what we love. We are having problems. As you know the building was given to me, and because I have a small place I can not do the crops or get together's and always have to rent a place which I do not mind, but to haul my things for everyone takes me a whole day, this is why the building would be perfect. Everything could be there and the doors would be open to anyone at any time. As you all know theres no fees for anything I do. And I really want to keep it that way. Whats the sense in having a place to share all of our passions if we go broke doing it. This is not how it is suppose to be. Because the building is older and use to be a car dealer ship we not only have to get the main floor up to code but the basement where they stored cars beore there release dates and the upstairs all has to be done to code. It is such a huge building it is proving to be a larger job than originally anticipated Because it's not a true retail  but rather a place of gathering, friendship, and craft activities the city planner has set forth a new set of rules. So even though the plans are moving forward, they are moving slow. SO ladies by spring, I am hoping to be open for fun..
Also I am going to need an updated profile on everyone, with snail mail addies, and changes in email addies.
The Market went well and I was pleased to see so many of you with your handmade items. And I did enjoy helping those of you who asked. You are quite the group of talented ladies. You all don't need me, but am always very happy and honored to be asked. The demonstrations went well and I do believe we have acquired a few new crafter's  to join in on the fun.. I was also asked if we would take things on consignment for others, but once we start with that then we truly do become a retail for profit so at this time I am going to have to say no to those who have asked, but will extend an invitation for them to join us and possibly we could learn a new craft from them.
As you know I have dedicated myself to making this work so we can finally have a place. And I will not quite untill I have accomplished this. I for one would love to have all my crafting in 1 location, some of you do not know this but I actually have a spare room at home where I work as well as 2 spare bedrooms in my neighbors home which she so graciously has given me to use, and it does get to be a bit of a pain when I am running back and forth. But we do what we have to. So I for one can't wait...
To those of you who have dies of mine please remember that saturday dec 19, is the die exchange, so bring the ones have back and get some different ones. This has been working out great, but please remember you get them for 2 weeks then when those come back you get to choose new to take home. For those of you who are new to this, you can borrow my dies for a 2 week time frame cut any and everything you would to, in 2 weeks bring them back and swap them out for new ones to use. No one is spending a ton of money and we all get what we want, if anyone would like to participate and has dies or stamps they would not mind sharing let me know and I will add them to the ever growing list. Also if you do not have a die cut machine let me know and either myself or one of other gals would be happy to cut items for you. I do not mind and all requests welcome. Just supply the paper and the items listed and poof, just like that they are cut and waiting for you. And as always no charge.
I really am trying hard to have thing available when and if someone needs it. But remember that the best place to find out info, or new products and projects is the internet. I am a member of a few boards and untill recently have been very happy at those places. And in my side bar are lnks to some amazingly talented people where you will find templates  to print out, great ideas, and lots of tips and tricks. I know none of you have a desk top cutter, but do not for get to check those links, if these ladies and their designs don't impress you, well then I don't know what will. Some of my favorite place to go is of course by TINA, her designs are WOW, and SYLVIA is so amazing I am always in awe of their work. I have also told you about UKSCRAPPERS, more amazing people make their home there. My other fav's are splitcoast stampers, and scrapbook.com..You do not have to be a member to see the amazing work, you can look through the galleries, and tutorial sections without signing up. So don't forget to check them out. I will get you all updated on the happenings at the building we are hoping to have open soon. So with that all being said, I wish you all a very happy holiday season. Talk to ya soon,
Hugs to all
Ronnie

8x8 Altered scrapbook cover

As most of you know I am a huge altered arts fan. I love to take something old, new of just things that have no purpose any longer. ANd make them unique..Although these are not unique, or a new idea, they are just plain ordinary scrapbook albums with a bit of personalization added to them..The skys the limit, and you can alter them to fit what ever theme you are working on...

All you need as a album, paper, adhesives, inks, stamps embellishments...ETC the list is never ending. ANd they are a lot of fun to make. What better gift than one that is personalized for that special person in your life...

So, have fun ladies....But becarful as they are like everything else in the paper crafting world AdDiCtIvE!!

Acrylic album, 8x8

Hello everyone...Well let me first say this, the Acrylic albums look awesome when finished, but its like double scrapping each page, making sure nothiing from behind interferes with the next page, its like double the work, but so worth the frustration and head aches. Who knows maybe it will get easier each time, one can only hope...
