Hello ladies, so those of you who collected your items from me at the market, are probally wondering what to do with them.. Well these flowers are perfect for any project you are working on.. First I cut them on my Silhouette digital cutter, ran them through the Sizzix with a variety of Cuttlebug embossing folders, that's it.
So now you can use several different techniques to color them..
First you can do direct to paper...By taking 1 or 2 colors of ink pads that match the project you are working on, as light or as dark as you wish, rub the ink pad over the flowers untill the desired pattern and color intensity are what you want. You may ink either side, as each will give you a totally different look.
OR
For a softer more subtle look, pull out your baby wipes and your ink pads. Ink up your baby wipe and wipe it across the pieces you want color on.
OR
Distress just the edges, using Distress pads.
****Remember, it is best to use dye based inks for this project as dye based ink pads dry quickly and do not smear where pigment inks need to set longer, or be heat set. These inks are best suited for embossing powders..
Pics coming soon, batteries dead on camera, sorry
