Cricut file, Cascade album to share, design studio file

Empty Nest SUCKS

We are busy packing this week, my youngest Son Trevor is moving to Milwaukee with his older brother Keith.  Going to work with Keiths contracting business as a builder and finish school. Really a sad time for me, I have had kids with me since I was 19.. Even though they have come and gone in the past this move may defenately be permanent.  Gonna be a hard time for me. All I have left home is a husband who who works 12-14hrs a day, comes home eats and goes directly to bed. So I will be alone from 4am to 6pm. He will be home and up for 1 hour then in bed. Well at least I have my dogs, Ryder and Rookie, and my horse Ma Kitty

I am hoping I will adjust quickly.  Hoping you all have a safe, healthy and blessed new year.

A gift for a dear friend.

 My dear friend Laurie from LaurieO Designs is so very talented and she amazes me most every day. Anyway I made these for her to put on her horses stalls, and the "L" for her Studio.

 I love the Tim Holtz tags so much that I thought instead of the antiquing I changed up the colors and antiqued with blue, green and white. I thought it turned out quite nice.

 And since she is a vintage gal I tried the same in this color scheme.And no tag on the last..It's man style...lol

Candy Cane Hot Chocolate

Hello Crafty Ones, I grew up with my Dearest Grandma making this recipe, and I thought I would share that with all of you.  A drink the whole family can enjoy...Hot Candy Cane cocoa.....
4C Milk
(3) 1oz squares of Semi sweet chocolate, chopped fine.
4 Candy Canes crushed
4 mini candy canes
Cool whip or whipping cream.
In sauce pan heat milk but not boiling, with whisk add the chocolate and crushed peppermint, keep whisking till all melts, and is nice and smooth. Pour into mugs, garnish with choice of cream, and add peppermint stick, I usually drizzle with the liquid chocolate from Hersheys, and more crushed peppermint.

When we use to go riding in the winter, or even sleigh rides the adults would add a little shot of schnapps. Always seemed to keep the saddle a bit warmer...Enjoy

Projects coming to an end.......Christmas

 This little guy is a a paper piecing formed around a band-aid tin...This is not mine! But I thought it was a wonderful idea, and very cute, if this is yours please let me know so I can give credit to this very talented person. Is this not the cutest thing ever. And who does not have band-aid tins lying around.

Day 17 of 24 days of Christmas Project 18

Hello my crafty friends, I was asked to make a wordbook for a friend, chronicling your Mothers fight for survival, and being the season for love and family, I thought I would share with you the file I made. This was designed on the Cricut design studio, using street sign, base camp and picturesque, although the images from picturesque can be replaced with other images, as I do know all of us do not have this cartridge, or no access to it, which is really terrible, as well struggle with survival on some level, and the breast cancer fight is real and I do believe this cartridge should be made available to everyone. So, todays project is a sharing project. HERE is the link to the file. Wishing everyone the courage, and strength to survive all of life's heart ache.

Day 15 of 24 days of Christmas Project 16

 Well today I thought I would share a file with you all so you can make your own cascading word book. This file was made in Cricut Design Studio, so you CDS lovers this ones for you...HERE

As we all know Christmas is a time for Families and sharing the love and season with those most important to you, so why mot share a file so you can make your own keepsake album. Below are pics I did of the family album, only this ones not in the Christmas there, but hey change up the colors a bit and it can be for any Holiday you spend with your loved ones....

 As you can see you can use anything for embellies, I love to use the glass microscope slides, and popcicle sticks, with charms of all kinds and lots of beads and ribbons, oh and lets not forget flowers....

 This is an acetate over lay, just cut to size and attached so that photos go under the printed acetate.

 So go ahead use my file as often as you like, it is protected so please don't claim as your own. And always give a link back or credit. But then Are we not all kind and considerate that way.
